Miguel Caballero The dust from inauguration day has settled. With the media focusing on the new First Lady’s fashion sense they’ve ignored Obama’s. Well, we’re going to remedy that by taking a look at the President’s bullet-resistant clothing.
According to reports, Obama wore a smart suit made by Colombian designer Miguel Caballero who specializes in creating bulletproof clothing that’s both business appropriate, flexible and tough.
Caballero’s line of fashionable but safe clothing, featuring a $7,500 polo shirt capable of stopping a bullet from a 9mm revolver, has a large following of celebrity and VIP customers.
Caballero’s clothing offers more than three levels of ballistic protection and is seven times more flexible than traditional Kevlar vests. Designers tie dense strands of Kevlar together and then weave it into the garments.
